We’ll be the first to admit it (and so will our clients) it’s more often than not a rarity that the groom is involved in stationery details. From our very first encounter to our last meeting, Groom-to-be Christian was in on every meeting and was fully engaged and had a very clear idea of what he and Caitlin wanted. From the very start, we knew that these two would be a fun duo to work with and boy were we right!
Stationery & Branding Details:
Direction and Inspiration: A burst of lavender and shades of purple that evoked a breath of that summertime garden air. Caitlin and Christian wanted a classic wedding invitation with fun details and a subtle nod to St. Louis, as many guest were traveling from out of town and even from out of the country to be there!
Main Invitation: Digitally printed secondary text in charcoal with our signature matte gold foil press to highlight The Shrine of Saint Joseph and to give their names and the name of the church hierarchy in the design.
Palette: Shades of purple with hints of blush.
Branding Details: With many of their guests traveling to St. Louis for the first time, Caitlin and Christian opted for the inclusion of architectural details, highlighting the city and their venues. We incorporated The Shrine of St. Joseph, The World’s Fair Pavilion and the St. Louis Arch in a way that didn’t feel overcrowded or over-stated.
OTD’s Favorite Detail: The florals! We had a short but strong push for shades of lavender in 2022 which, in contrast to what became a very familiar blush and gold palette, almost felt bold and unique. We love how the florals really brought the palette back together in this suite and carried throughout the day!
